The cuban missile crisis was a big thing because it was the closest the world ever came to a nuclear war. President John F.Kennedy offered to impose a quartaine around cuba. This war was hot becuase it wasnt like the cold war it was the hot war because a cold war is when they only talk but dont fight. The hot war is when they did fight.
